Hey guys, breaking news: Many yankees on here, but i'm not one of them.. Raise of hands, who in here is not from Texas, but claim to be now? Also, additional hand raises for those who have caught a fish over 13 pounds in public waters. I didn't make Sherry up, What does DEI have to do with, Sherry is gender specific, and she was entered into the program based on MERIT, over 13 pounds! The fella that seems to have coined the name is from Central TX, Millersview. https://www.wired2fish.com/news/first-texas-sharelunker-2025If you are not from Texas move along, if you have not caught a fish over 13 pounds from TX public waters move even further along. …..and since you’re gonna ask…. Look at the head on that thing.....

I caught one teen from a small public lake 15 years ago and contacted TPWD, but then decided against donating it. The little lake fished crazy good for 3-4 more years and no doubt would have been ruined (again) if it was turned in. Also caught a teen out a of a private lake, in East Tx, in the early 2000's. Never even considered reporting it. Had a 3rd that could have busted 13# on Ray Hubbard on Dec 26, 2017 9n an A rig. Did not hav a scale with me that day This is the fish from Mill Creek in Feb 2010. Fish was 26.5 inches and had a girth of over 23 inches. Weighed 13.6 on the scale we had R. Hubbard 2017 those are my "DEI-a-Liunkers"

Do 8 pound fish entries get the same amount of entries into this raffle as a real sherry?
When the Sherry program went to 8 pounds I started to tune it out.
1 real sherry should get 5 entries into the raffle, ten pounds 1 entry, 8 pounders get a participation ribbon, since that’s what that is (sorry if you have your mug on the website with an 8 pounder hahaha) you dont have to send a picture in of your mug... just the fish on measuring device at least 24 inches length they dont take your 8 pounder out of the lake... you get to release it, same with over 10... they ask you take 3 scales from the fish and send them in for DNA testing... if you dont have someone there to witness weight .. you just take a picture of it on measuring device... over 24 inches is all that is required. Is that too much to help TP&W oh.. they do ask what lake you caught it on.. That last sentence is a deal breaker, and it should be for you too, judging by where you fish was that you I met and and you said you caught everything on a carolina rig when anyone within a hundred yards could hear the rattletrap? This reminds me of a situation that I got myself into with the rattle trap, was fishing a lake and had my oldest son with me, whom was about 8 at the time. Another angler passed by us on the trolling motor and asked me if we had done any good, told him no, that we hadn't caught a thing, at that point my says, yes you did dad, don't you remember you caught those 2 big ones on that rattle trap. I bowed my head shrugged my shoulders and the man politely replied, I get it buddy, I get it. Son got me stone cold busted !

Fouz, I believe the program is called operation catch a non licensed share lunker thief. If money is given away then they can prosecute those who do not have a current license when they catch a share lunker.

https://www.facebook.com/sharelunke...-bass-caught-from-lake-/792848776206122/Danny Howard caught his fish a couple weeks after Ben caught his. Danny did it right, notifying the program that he did not have a license. Nothing bad happened to him. Ben, instead of just not entering the fish, bought a license minutes before entering the fish into the program. One can be seen as an honest mistake. The other can't.

Be careful TMD, soon they will strip you of your integrity, and not being willing to fish against you in tournaments.

I have heard that he was ticketed several times but if I read it I do not remember it. (I hope its not in one of the links I have posted) If that is correct and he did get a ticket around February, he had 7 months to correct it and have himself removed from the program. From what I remember they did not discover it till 7 months later when they were going over the entrants to verify that they were eligible. However Bens case went, notice that Danny turned himself in when he discovered that he had erred. Ben did just the opposite and bought a fishing license to try and deceive.
