Where do you all go for your news or podcast about current events.

I was driving last night and stumbled on this:



I've always considered Tucker to be a bit of a confused wack job, but these two talked about the so cal fires and firefighting (dumb conversation with inaccurate information, because neither of them know anything about fighting fire or anything to do with that topic) and then it went into talking about drones, aliens, and tuckers belief that the aliens are already here, they're spirits that are already on earth. I guess a ghost.

For context about what I mean about what Shellenberger said that was wrong about the fires. When a fire starts in SoCall, strike teams of engines are assigned to the fire almost instantly, he asserts that they don't have their radios programmed, and they sit around and take forever to get to a fire. This is flat out not true. While an out of area resource needs to get their radios programmed, and checked in, briefed at an ongoing fire, initial attack of a wildfire is completely different, this makes them look really stupid. They also think planes and helicopters are supposed to be flying around already in the air before a fire starts, this wont ever happen for many reasons.

These guys are supposed conservatives, but it seems as though conservative new sources are almost a new fad for recent defects of the left, including Rogan and others.

Holy smokes. Politics aside, the media on both sides is killing me. I desperately want a place to get good news and current events podcasts.

Podcasts are just modern talk radio. Talk radio is usually boring.

Most podcasts and talking heads speak to one crowd or the other. Find one that invites both sides and is just moderates the two sides and you have a gem. I don't think those get much play because people don't want to hear the other side of a discussion.

In other words, if you want to know more, don't do it by talk shows.

Rogan has had plenty of people from both sides of the aisle. Yet you liberals still.hate him because he doesn't bootlick your party. You claim tolerance, while being intolerant to opposing views. Just like you only post links that fit your desired narrative.

I don't hate Rogan but he does not conduct his shows in an objective manner. He may not be as bad as other talking heads but he isn't objective by a long shot and he's even said so.
The problem with talk shows is that they need to be quoted and get air time. To do that they choose one side or the other.
The middle is much harder to get good airtime since most people choose to listen to shows that promote one ideology.

Is this different for anybody here?

I can listen for a bit, but he’s a lib, hiding in the lib oasis of Austin.

I just live my life. “News” and podcasts are mostly trash with a narrative. I think people would be a lot happier if they just ignored that garbage for a while
