I know somebody that caught a ShareLunker in 2011 and I just asked the question about the Banquet. Then They got a jacket a shirt and replica at the banquet The largest/ Heaviest got $500.00.

I asked one of the guy that transports the fish during the Legacy ShareLunker season from Ivie. He told me that they have a truck with a tank that stays in San Angelo that comes and picks the fish up at Elm Creek or Concho. I have seen them come and fill up with water at the boat ramp there. They have an almost Identical one that comes from Athens. They pick up the fish after they take pictures for their Facebook and website. Then they meet the other truck at Goldwaithe TX That is equipped the same that comes from Athens. The people change trucks and the fish stays in the original truck/tank. And they go back to San Angelo / Athens. I asked him Why Goldwaithe? it is not halfway? He said that by the time they fill up with water and take pictures it is halfway time wise.

Only the 13lb+ entries that are donated to the Athens hatchery get a crack at the prize money and free replicas. They should never have called the 8lb and 10lb class fish sharelunkers.

Agree the smaller fish are just nice fish, they should enter the 10 pounders into whatever the bassmaster magazine used to do if they want to show it off.

Are you sure in terms of the drawing, it looks like there are two drawings for 5K each. One for the legacy 13+ pound variety, and one that doesn't specify. I think thats why Ben was entered into a tournament that was $10K or whatever it was, 2, 5K drawings, im confused.
