I get it. Anyone who calls out Ewer’s weaknesses is a hater. Question is when Manning torches his numbers and accomplishments what are the ewer water carriers gonna do? My guess is scurry away and hide. Of course Manning could be a flop.

I was very unaware that a high ankle sprain is actually a fracture.

My neighbor’s son has coached at every level. His son told him they’d use the ol’ “you have a high ankle sprain, which is a fractured fibula” story on kids that they wanted to bench. Said those kids would believe it for the rest of their lives.

I’m not a Ewers hater. I will 100% say that if ewers is your qb in SEC you ain’t winning a championship. I said two things from start of season, #1 Texas was best team in country CORRECT. #2 UK would knock them out of #1 spot INCORRECT.

It is beyond a doubt sarks ability and likely funding that destroyed Texas. If he even attempted to make a play for ewers his career would be toast at this point. Even a Dr Jill high school coach would admit this.

I went to UT ‘91 to ‘94…..if we beat OU it was a good year (which we did three out of the four years I was there) and we were happy.

Ewers, Ehlinger, Simms, McCoy...etc, etc, etc. Manning might be more of the same but the QB didn't lose that last game. First and goal from less than two yards...twice. THAT is what did them in. Sark outsmarted himself and got kicked in the nuts for it. Not sure if the better team won or not, but I think Ohio State will crush Notre Dame.

High Ankle Sprain Treatment -
A high ankle sprain is an injury to the ligaments that connect the tibia and fibula bones in the lower leg, just above the ankle joint, also known as the syndesmosis ligaments; this type of sprain is considered "high" because it occurs above the main ankle joint and is typically more severe and takes longer to heal than a standard ankle sprain.

My guess there is he sees Manning as more talented, but Ewers as more seasoned. Giving a talented QB extra time to learn the system before throwing him to the wolves will only enhance that talent, and improve his potential.

Yes; the one play Arch ran against the Ohio State, he got a 270lb monster helmet him at full speed to the back of the head.
Experience can teach you how to avoid serious injury (unless you are RGIII). Arch put on some muscle and bulk this year; but starting him against these really good teams with 6’5 280lb 4.45 beasts running full speed to end your season or worse would have been like throwing a baby lamb into an alligator pit.

Fivebites is correct on both accounts.

Another factor is that Sark didn’t have a kicker he trusted. This makes the team one dimensional…you have to go for it on fourth down and three even with iffy field position.

A reliable field goal kicker the team trusts from distances up to 45 yards+ is absolutely necessary to compete against the best teams.

Wasn’t that a high ankle sprain that Wawi was showing off awhile back?

Ewers injury was reported as a high ankle sprain with a fractured fibula. You google experts google "can a fractured fibula be part of a high ankle sprain"?

Here’s my take on Ewers and all of this was he a miracle qb no , but he did win a lot of games at Texas and IDK if he will make it in the NFL we will see and good luck to him . Is Manning better we will see I hope so , I hope he sets every record at Texas and the NCAA but time will tell . As far as Ewers losing that last game it was a total team loss by everyone even the coaches.

you should google mutually exclusive vs, inclusive events. whatever it was reported as you can have one without the other, or both. And yes I googled it lol

For the average high ankle sprain, it's typically six weeks off the court/field......there are outliers and freaks of nature....Cal Ripken Jr/Adrian Peterson might miss one game.
