In 3 years Ewers completed 737 of 1,135 passes, 65% for 9,128 yards. Of those 1,135 passes he ONLY threw to the other team 24 times. You call that sucking then you don't know much about football. 68 of those passes went for TD's. This year he was 293-445 for 66% completion rate, 31 TD's and 12 interceptions. He did take 31 sacks and was sacked 69 times in his 3 year career. He is an elite college QB. Will Arch be better? Only time will tell and yes Ewers played injured the whole year, I'd take him on my team any day. As a matter of fact he's hella better than the 2 QB's playing for the national championship. Bill Belichick who knows nothing about football wants him in Chapel Hill.

what would BB know about great quarterbacks. LOL
The problem with judging quarterbacks very few have or ever have had the talent to win without good OL and receivers
I think he will go to another team for one more year has a college player for the money and to get his draft stock up.

He’s a very good college quarterback. He’s a slow Colt McCoy….strong leader, accurate passer, small, injury prone, will fumble and brain fart brutal INTs at really bad times.

As a former HS and college QB I can tell you things move fast on the field. It's much easier to QB from your recliner, 40 lbs overweight, drinking beer and watching the game on TV. In big games windows get tighter because you're playing the best in college, he's damn good.

And something happened to his velocity on his passes. Just seems like he used to be able to zing it when he needed to be he seems to have lost that.

Yes; the kinetic chain to forcefully zip the ball was broken in three key areas. From the ground up. Ankle to push and load; core to extend and rotate then flex and rotate through the delivery, and shoulder.

I’ll never have an eye for talent- I was mad when the chiefs drafted Mahomes- told everyone we had Alex Smith we don’t need that Brett Favre wannabe from Texas tech..😆🤦🏼

I don't hate Ewers, but his lack of mobility and running ability won't be missed. Having a decent chance that the QB will pull the ball slows down the defensive flow to the running backs. Having Arch next year should greatly help their running game.
I'll admit that it remains to be seen how Arch will manage a full season.

He seems to choke in the big games. Choking is a strong term....I certainly wouldn't call him that. He did take his team to the national semifinals 2 years in a row.... pretty darn good IMOP But, I will say this, on the most important throw of the night, the season, and his career, a simple 3rd and 5 requiring him to throw it 30' with reasonable accuracy....he threw it 5' over a wide open Golden's head... and he has had a habit of that over his college career.

He had a high ankle sprain on his right ankle, which affects all that [censored] CCTX typed. That's his anchor to throw a football. If you aren't aware, a high ankle sprain is a fractured fibula, the little lower leg bone. So yes that affected his velocity, playing on a fractured bone on your push foot that starts the throwing motion.

the guy is like third in ever passing stat in Texas history he was a great qb. he was hurt a lot of this year and that took him down a peg, but he’ll have a fine nfl career.
