The truck got stopped in Sacramento so the state of California could run emissions test on all

This is another example of the media’s sheer ignorance and stupidity.These resources have to be inspected before they’re deployed. Not only for safety, but for money. This is standard practice everywhere. Fire resources are notorious for bringing broken [censored] to fires and trying to recoup money from wildfires. For all sorts of things, trucks show up on a full set of bald tires, and they want the fire to pay for replacements because the fire ruined them, not the 60k miles that were on the tires before the truck showed up. Believe it not, there has to be fiscal responsibility, and there are all sorts of people trying to take advantage of fire funds. This happens all the time and has for decades. These fires are no different than any other. This is standard practice. Did the media share that part of the story? Because it’s about 80% of it, but it’s boring right? And nobody cares for reality.
