Surprised they haven't blamed it on Trump!

Corolla is doing his show from a hotel today. He may or may not have lost his house. He's on a hour long rant against liberals and liberal policy.

MSNBC was actually pushing climate change as the root problem.

Please Jesus help us….

Make stupid policies, expect stupid results. I feel sorry for the folks who can't afford to abandon that sinking ship of a state.

I'm not sure where I stand on this fire hydrant issue that is coming up in the news from the Palisades and other fires in LA County.

I think most of us can agree (Maybe not) that fire hydrants are primarily used for house fires, as in maybe 1 house on fire maybe that fire spreads to 1 or 2 more, and it isn't normal to have hundreds of homes burning all at once. This said, big wildfires with many homes involved is not a new issue in southern cal.

From what I reading it isn't a matter of water availability because they are trying to say smelt from far off places, as much as it is capacity and infrastructure to hold water for use (which I guess could be seen as the same thing) but to me is different.

The water source from what i've read for that specific area is ground water, and it has historically met the needs.

This fire completely maxed out the system to point there no water pressure at the hydrants. and the water source couldn't keep up with filling the tanks. This would be the same if everyone in neighborhood connected to the same source opened up all of their faucets at once, not everyone would be able to shower, do laundry, water their lawn, and wash their car at the same time.

Obviously someone somewhere along the way underestimated the water infrastructure needs for an incident such as this, but I think this is more a matter of extenuating circumstances, obviously with grave consequence.

I hope everyone gets their acts together over there and ensures there are proper emergency water infrastructure in place moving forward, this seems like a critical need.

I heard him telling the story of trying to be a firefighter in California when he was younger. After submitting his application there was a 7 year waiting list for white men to take the admission test, but only a 3 day waiting list for women of color. That’s the typical California policy.

I guess thats the easy out, i just dont think a mayor or a governor whatever flag they fly is going to solve any problems.

I fought fires across the country and i can tell you the fires went out not matter what party was in office. Nobody wants to pay for what it will take to truly fix this problem. Thats what it is. its a huge expense.

If you care to know how the government has treated wildland firefighters over time, maybe that would shed some light on why the issues exist.

As in Adam Corolla? That’s funny because his old show partner/buddy is one of the most worthless libs on this planet.

Seems like the climate hoax would be a good place to funnel all of our tax dollars to.

You know, a real problem.

Fighting fires..

There’s no money in that…
