Welcome to the forum! Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) will have the information you are looking for and I suggest you check there first (before relying on advice from members of this forum). I don't get to fish livingston much so I am of no help, but wanted to welcome you to Texas.
Good Fishing and God Bless

Welcome to Texas. Here is a link to Texas Parks & Wildlife. Fish Consumption Bans and AdvisoriesScroll down to Northeast/Southeast Texas to see the information about Lake Livingston. This is a quote from that page. "Adults should limit consumption of certain fish species as indicated below. Women of childbearing age and children under 12 should not consume the indicated fishes from these waters. Blue and flathead catfish: no more than one 8-ounce serving per month." There is more information there on other species as well.
