Saw this on Facebook as well some of the bleeding heart comments were about as stupid as it gets. Just trying to feed their family etc. Hope they get a huge fine.

They will probably receive a misdemeanor ticket and be on their way. It is interesting that their names are not released and the picture had the mans face blurred. What does that tell you?

They were in Barton Creek on Lady Bird Lake in Austin. Not exactly a secluded area. From the photos I saw on The Texas Game Warden Facebook page they looked like they were well equipped. The guy doing the spearing was in a full wetsuit. 18 bass, with one close to 7 pounds. https://www.facebook.com/TexasGameWardens/

yeah it looks like they were right directly in the creek that flows from barton springs into lady bird lake. the water there is crystal clear almost. there's walking paths on both sides that are VERY heavy with traffic. These people gave zero care. I wonder if they even knew it was illegal.
