It’s now the professional developmental league for the NFL
Same/similar contract rules as the NFL.

Nil is only a title. Pay for play is here, I don’t like it needs caps.
Portal is bs. Dates of portal are a problem as they do not coincide with semesters.

The whole issue is dumb in my opinion. The money they are wasting on these spoiled jocks could be put towards a bunch of scholarships for kids who might cure cancer, find an unlimited energy source, etc. But Nooooo....we gotta have our college football no matter what. Somebody should put the adults back in charge...oh and make sure they have a clue because as of now they sure don't seem to have a handle on this portal mess.

Move back the opening of the Portal until after the championship game... Close it whenever the high school national signing date is... Make the kids sign at least a two year deal and put in an out if the HC leaves or is fired... Players get 5 years of eligibility extra year for redshirt or injury only... No cap... The money is here to stay... Deal with it... Dan

NCAA Div 1 sports (FBS level) are basically professional franchises with "amateur status". The portal is another name for "free agency".
Football seasons are too long when considering conference championship games and bowls. Now adding a 4 week playoff format.
Money has ruined college sports. TV contracts, Conference revenue sharing, Coach salaries, etc.

Im not positive there are any problems that need solutions. Nothing is gonna happen with NIL, changing the portal dates does zero to keep player from opting out Seems to me like it would help if they moved the date to open the portal after the last bowl game. As soon as a player declares for the portal, seems like most coaches dont let them play.

Sorry boys...I was busy working a second shift job thru college....no musical talent but I did do a couple of cheerleaders while their jock boyfriends were playing drop the soap in the team showers...:)
