Great fish BTW. What kind of carp is that? It is called a butterfly or long-fin carp. It is a variant of the common carp and is considered the same species as a common carp.

Looks like you have a knack for tying flies. The ones you’ve displayed here are very nice. I believe that I have that same vise, and I have tied saltwater flies & jigheads all the way to size 20 trout flies. Today I tied some WD40s in size 14 and 16. I have been tying a bunch of zebra midges in the same sizes.

1st attempts at a hare’s ear nymph. Proportions are a little off, but should catch a trout
