The NFC is getting better on the while. The cowboys have gotten worse. It's gonna take a long time to unwind the mess they are in. Jerry won't sniff another good season in his lifetime The cowboys have a good roster when healthy, they will be back next season , not saying a SB run but I bet they will be a play off team. Right now I'd say they are #3 in their division (next year) behind the Beagles and the Commies.

Hard to really judge cowboys when all their pro bowl starters are injured. Get’m health and all their pro bowlers on the field and they can be decent, and if Jerry could stay out of the way and let McCarthy lead his team they could make a run in the playoffs. Well Jerry won't stay out of the way. Lawrence and Martin will probably be gone. Diggs has had 3 knee surgeries. Overshone will be lucky if he returns. Ferguson has regressed. Guyton may be the next bust. But we still have Dak and zeke.

At one point they were down 2 all-pro CB's, and all-pro LB'er, a former all pro LDE and 2 other defensive starter including the projected FDE (for the season) while installing a new defense. If you listened to Mike Zimmers presser he lamented not installing his own system in earlier and more forcibly instead of hanging on to some of DQ's system. The D did look somewhat better toward the end despite still missing a bunch of high-grade talent. Starting a rookie on offense at LT bit them a bunch along with other lesser talented OL. I will say the rookie center was at least as good as Biadasz was in his contract year last year. Having said all that they'll never overcome the handicap that is their upper management to be a strong playoff contender.
