We have to do right by our dog buddies. When it’s time we know it. It’s agonizing to go through. All you can do is make the best decision based on what you have. We can’t let them down by allowing them to suffer. I’ve made that decision a number of times with some really great dogs we’ve had over the years. It’s never easy. We have to know we gave them the best life we could.

My family will be praying Oscar passes tonight peacefully.

Never wanted Small dogs. We always had labs. When my chocolate lab died, my German shorthair Sam grieved to the point of dying. We got Oskar to see if it would bring him out of his funk. They became great friends. The night before I put down Sam, Oskar and Gabby laid on his bed all night. Somehow they knew, Oskar is a good dog.

so sorry to hear that Oskar has been kind of been a mascot for the OT for many years. He will sure be missed but he will be pain free and you know he will be in a better place.

Thanks. I’m a mess right now. I’m Trying to hold it all together right now and am trying to hide my tears running down my face watching TV with the family. I think I’m pulling it off pretty good and am blaming it all on allergies . They think I’m just fine. I’m a good actor. Stupid dog. Dang it.

Only one thing wrong with dogs………they don’t live long enough!

Prayers for strength. Such a difficult task ahead

Just lost Cookie, my constant companion and English Pointing, full on bird hunting dog the day before Thanksgiving. And not only me, everybody in my neighborhood knew and loved her.
A bad blood disease took her down. She was only eight.

It’s such a hard thing. I’ll always miss her.
