Texas is best…it’s not close.

Then;
Oklahoma

I’m not a fan of sweet sauces or vinegar sauces you find elsewhere.

New Mexico, Arizona, and parts of California are good at grilling with chile peppers/spices…..but that’s grilling…not bbq.

I've had some great pork in the Carolinas. Went to my first Pig Pickin out there about 30 years ago, and it was fantastic!

I'd put a star over in East Texas as the winner because they do a much better job over there than the rest of the state

I’m guessing you have mainly ate at northern Ky bbq’s? The sweetest, nastiest bbq you can find in southern Ky is from buccees.

Southern Ky/ northern Tn is the best bbq I’ve had and I’ve ate bbq in over 20 states. Ky has some bbq places out in Owensboro area that I just can’t eat. Well, the burgoo is good but bbq is way too thick and sweet. Also primarily where you will find mutton. Louisville/lexington area can’t be called bbq. It is to bbq what Cincinnati is to chili, a complete joke.

Yes. Hebron KY.
I love it up there but the food is just so bland.

Yeah, you honestly haven’t ate Ky food if that is area you ate in. That’s southern Ohio.
