Having been retired for many years; I'm just curious, are monetary Christmas Bonuses still a thing in today's workplace?

No but annual bonuses are, usually don’t come out til end of 1st quarter.

Never got a Christmas bonus but almost always received a performance bonus.

I got a monetary bonus in 2010 and a Spyderco pocket knife. I am still carrying that knife. I forgot how much the bonus was but it wasn't that much. Maybe a couple hundred dollars.

We get a pretty substantial profit sharing check every Valentine’s Day.
Prior to that, my “bonuses” were Hostile Fire Pay, Combat Zone Tax Exclusions, and Family Separation Pay.

Work for a big corporation so no Christmas bonus but do get an annual performance bonus and a multiplier depending on several factors that's paid out in mid-February . I'm a pion in the food chain so mines only 6%. Wifes staff level management and hers is 15%. Hers was almost $30k last year.

Coming up on ~20 years in the oil and gas industry.
5 years in the field, usually a $50 Walmart gift card.
4 years in management, usually got our 4th quarter bonus in time to act like a Christmas bonus.
8 years a contractor at a major. No bonus but the pay is good.
