I've reached the age where tie-ing my shoes requires some deep bending of muscles that are stiff and sore...I had been seeing ads for skechers shoes designed as slip on type....went into a large Shoe Max store couple days ago and couldn't believe whatI saw....at least least half the mens shoes were the slip on kind and there were 2-3 other brands besides Skechers selling these type shoes......
has half the men in this country got too old or lazy to tie their shoe strings?
p.s. the pair I bought are similar to the one in the picture and they are very comfortable and easy to put on.......

Next step is riding the scooter carts in stores. Don’t move away anything that gets exercise, stretching, etc. A little here and there helps.

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Pins and plates in my spine make it difficult to bend over enough to tie my shoes. What aren't slip on have the laces tied loose enough for me to slip my feet in. Those Sketchers up top are really comfortable for about 6 months or so then the cushion in the soles break down rather quickly and give me back pains.

Crocs most of the time but I still tie my Brooks running shoes…even after a TNR.

Yes, I still tie my shoes. I also buy coffee and brew it instead of using a Keurig, go to restaurants and stores instead of ordering everything on a laptop and having it delivered to my house, and answer my phone even if I don't recognize the number. Call me crazy.

I lace mine up and tuck the ends inside the shoe. Treating them like slip ons. As for tying them, No. I tie the army boots I have.

For several years after my back surgery it was too painful and difficult for me to tie my shoes, so I wore slip-ons. However, I was in sales for most of that time, so I wore Johnston & Murphy dress shoes, so no big deal. Once I became physically able to tie my shoes again, that's what I do. I do have 1 pair of slip-on dress shoes and 3 pairs of clog style Crocs, but the other almost 30 pairs of shoes are laced and I have to tie them. They get the most use.

Now college kids have shoes with laces and don't bother tying them...or they wear a style where you have laces, but the laces are for show, not functional.

There is a correct way to tie your laces. If the loops do not fall at a crisp 90 degree orientation to the lateral line of the shoe you are doing it wrong. Fortunately there is an easy fix.

The slip ons are real popular here, I have two pair of athletic shoes and both are ties. But I slip them on anyway
