Looking for a recommendation for a great guide on Fork for my son (in his early 20s). It’s a gift and I’m hoping for someone who can teach a little as well as put him on some fish.

Pake South. Good young guide. They should get along good.

There are a ton of good guides on Fork. If your son is early-20's I would recommend Pake South. Pake is a great kid and comes from good stock. He knows Fork better than most. If your son wants to learn FFS, Pake is very proficient with it. Tell him I sent you

When are you wanting to go? I specialize in sight fishing, which gets good toward the back half of March all the way through late April. I fish out of a 21 ft Skeeter FXR21. I’d be glad to shoot you some more pictures and talk to you more about a trip. Here are just a few from last year at Fork.

Just curious heb-bass, in that 1st pic you have 4 lake fork slot fish. If that's on fork it would mean you had them in your livewell correct?

We had two boats with multiple clients. Lots of bed fish in that area at the exact time. One over in each boat. The stars aligned. Good observation. 👍👍

I was wondering as well, but I figured he just had one of those epic double doubles (2 anglers with two fish on at the same time, 4 fish total). Have never seen it, but would love to hear the story!

We were running two boats and each boat had an over. We were sitting in a small area that was just loaded and they caught fish 3 and 4 within seconds. Sometimes you have those crazy days, that’s what keeps us going back‼️

I think he said they had the 2 overs retained in a livewell, they caught the 2 slots within seconds of each other, and everyone scrambled aboard one boat for a photo op. smile

The guy said he only boxed the two "over" fish and the slot fish were caught within seconds of each other. It was a good day at fork smile

I was more curious why the "overs'' were taking a ride in the box, was it tourney day, or fish fry friday? food no judgement here, seriously, but I would opt for a limit of unders for my fish fry.

Glory shots for the socials take precedence over everything these days!

Keep in mind, nobody really cares to see your fish pics, except maybe your mother. The rest are just studying your background to pot lick!

Correct, all fish were released where they were caught. The overs had their measurements taken and pics taken. It was fast and furious literally, these fish moved up quick…something I’ve only witnessed a few times…was really cool.

You guys are pretty harsh on the ole boy. I am sure some of the Judge Judy's on here have boxed a few for the Hero Shot in the past.

Give the guy a break
