Decided to go to Bastrop Lake for a few hours and see it the bluegill were still biting on my favorite brush pile. They were still biting but I had to show them a different bait often to keep the bite going. I caught them on worms, gulp alive minnows, crappie jigs and crappie nibbles. Water temps were in the low 60's and mostly clear. Ended the day with 16 bluegill and one small bass. Did keep some for the dinner table.
