What are you guys using as far as a electric or cordless fillet knife? One that will last!

The Bubba blade electric has served me well. Prior to this knife I have had several American Angler Electrics that have all lasted.

I use a plug in Rapala. It’s perfect for the few times I keep fish and filet them.

I bought a cordless(battery) powered Bubba that's too expensive unless it's a gift. I will return the Bubba and use my Corded Mister Twister. 140 bucks vs 20 bucks?? Easy decision for a few fish.

BTW.... Academy had a killer deal on the cordless Bubba.... Just less than 140 buck with tax.... add a new Academy card and save another 10% if you want.

I use the Rapala R12 HD. I can't say it will last long cause I don't think it will, but the motor turns way faster than any other knife I've used. The cordless Bubba is like cleaning fish in slow motion compared to this knife. If I didn't use this knife I would use the American Angler or the corded Bubba.

The American Angler is and has been a superior fish filet knife for a long time. I had one and used it a lot prior to replacement blades and virtually sharpened the cerated teeth flat. Have a cordless Bubba and it works just OK !!

Rapala r12. Lasts longer, runs faster than Bubba.

[Linked Image]I have Rapala R12 cordless lithium heavy duty combo fillet knife which works really well.
Bass Pro has a cordless fillet knife on sale 1/2 price during the black Friday sale for
$49.99 regular $99.99 I've never used one but the crappie guide I went fishing with
twice at lake Fork had one and said he loved it. I'm thinking of buying one for a backup.

I use a corded Bubba with mister twister blades that works great. I also have the cordless Rapala R12 but the rapala replacement blades don’t last long at all for me. If the mister twister blades fit the rapala that would be perfect but they don’t stay locked in place.

I have a Rapala Lithium Ion Cordless Fillet knife that is a step down from the R12 and it works very well. I misplaced the charger so I purchased a new charger and spare battery (then found the old charger) but have never had to pull out the spare battery while cleaning fish. We have an annual fish fry to help reduce the fish population in a private lake and we clean around 100 fish. Both of us doing the filleting have the same electric knife and make short work of them.
If the R12 HD is faster than what I have, then the dang thing is scary fast. thumb

American angler, I'm convinced you can't tear them up. It will get hot cleaning a bunch.
