Louisiana - November through April for obvious reasons. Fish, hunt, climate, food. Northern Michigan - May through October. Up around Charlevoix/Boyne City is beautiful and the smallmouth fisheries are incredible. Did a trip up there earlier this year and you could see bottom in 40 feet of water on some of the lakes they are so clear.
All that being said, I'm not leaving the greatest state in the land if I don't have to.

Las Vegas.
I have lived in Texas most of my 30 years of life and will leave Texas in the rearview mirror as quickly as I can. Work has me stuck in Dallas, and my properties taxes are ridiculous. I cannot imagine paying these insane property taxes on a fixed income in retirement. Part gets frozen, but they'll just be frozen at a ridiculously high rate.

The Fijian Islands somewhere. Something much more peaceful, tropical and beautiful.
