Butterflied Shrimp are one of my favorite things to eat. I started using Panko breadcrumbs a while back and really like them over what I had been using (Louisiana shrimp batter). I make the shrimp hours ahead and freeze them. The breading/batter stays on them really good using that method. About 2 minutes in the hot oil and they are done.

The liquid part is 2 eggs with 2 T`s of water or milk. Add any seasonings to any of the 3 to your liking.

stir it all together

I prefer tartar sauce with fried shrimp and red sauce with boiled. I`ll make the red sauce when my grandson eats with us and it`s good for a change. I have no idea where I got my red sauce recipe, but I`ve been making it like this for over 40 years.
