After getting a nice settlement and unemployment for over a year I decided to not return to my job when they called me back. So, did I quit or did I retire.

Can you live comfortably the rest of your life on what you have? Me and wife both receiving SS plus a pension and on Medicare with a supplement (wife's supplement free).100% Debt free for over 10 years. Haven`t touched IRA`s or 401K`s yet and don`t see any need in the foreseeable future. Only used 10K of saving so far to pay cash for new vehicle. Most people don`t really know if they`ll outlive their money due to sickness or longtime care. No crystal ball here, but, we have always and will continue to live well within our means, so I feel very comfortable with our finances.

I had to go to the Social Security office today in down town Fort Worth UHG !! Sat in there for 5 hours, had to update my social security , evidently the records showed I was born in another country all of the sudden, could not get signed up for medicare because of it, dam what a beating, people watching is fun but most of the folks in there were not that fun to watch lol. Don't fool around and get yourself deported..... I felt like an immigration sting could happen any minute lol
