I don't know about boat prices but the prices to take care of a boat seem to keep going up. Was just pricing out my 100 hour maintanence kit from simyamaha and it went from $170 last year to $189 this year.

Also need to put 2 new trailer tiers. Bought 2 in 2021 for ~$110 each and now they are $175.

Still not enough of a price drop for most people.

This is no joke. The maintenance kits keep going up over the last several years.

Fishing is not a matter of life or death,
it's much more important than that!

Feel like this was old news. But agree with the costs of everything else if the price dropped some they would still be expensive.

I was unable to sell my 2023 boat due to no interest and how low i would have had to price it.

there are some deals on new non current boats but does anybody really think that 80 k is a good deal on anykind of boat in two years it will be worth 30% less if you are lucky. the days of 50 k 20 foot boats with 250 s on them rigged out are gone an they are not coming back.

You mean backing a 100k boat down the ramp with a 100k truck- (cause everyone knows that all self respecting fisherman need a 3/4 ton crew cab diesel to tow a relatively lightweight load) to go catch a GGGGiant 2lb bass is the norm nowadays?

Yep...I back my 20yr old Ford Ranger down the ramp unload my lil bass buster, and just sit there by the ramp and make fun of all the high dollar rigs that come that day. I look forward to it every week. Really makes me feel good about myself.

The prices of all electronics and other accessories are insane so that drives prices up on a boat. Even the value they put on used ones like they’re still new. And yeah annual maintenance prices are ridiculous.

A 100 hour service kit for a 250hp Mercury is $175. It comes with Engine oil, Gear Lube, Oil Filter, and Fuel Filter. I can buy full synthetic oil for my car in the same quantity for $35 and an oil filter for $6. Those kits should be under $100.

Oil change places charge $125 to change the oil in my truck.
The 20 hour service kit for my Yamaha SHO is the same as the 100 hour, minus the spark plugs. I don’t see the spark plugs being $200!!
I did the 20 hour. It was oil, oil filter, gear lube, o rings, fuel filter and was $170. The 100 hour service kit is between $350-400 depending on oil type. Yikes.

If a guy can’t afford a once a year 175 oil change kit then he probably shouldn’t be chasing little green fish with 250hp.

It’s not the ability to afford…it’s over paying.
