I’ve had 2, one was my father’s brand new truck that he loaned me while mine was in the shop. Got up the next morning to go to work and it was gone. Hated making that call but he handled it better than I did. The other one was found before I knew it was gone. I got a call at 2 am from the sheriff saying the good news was they found my truck but the bad news was that it was in the Arkansas River. I told him he must’ve called the wrong number and he said you better go check. Walked outside and there was dew on the ground and tire tracks from the barn that went right past my bedroom window lol.

Stole one out of my driveway. Checked the Ring Cam. Guy was on there twice. Actually lit a cigarette before he opened the door and went to work on the steering column. The again on the cam when he backed it out almost hitting the Yukon that dropped him off%.
Found it later at an apartment complex about 10 miles away. They were using it to steal others. That’s how we found it. They were trying to steal a Yukon and the owner followed them after they were spooked.
It belonged to my wife son. Insurance totaled it. He brought it back cheap and still is driving it three years later. Big crease down the passenger side where they hit a pole of something.
I had to force the officer to take the meth pipe out of the door before they hauled it to the wrecker yard. It had a bunch of stolen stuff in it that wasn’t really very able to be sold.

Yes. My 1st car had it about 3 days. Z28 Camero w/t-tops. My mom took it to Kmart. She called my dad and he had to pick her up. I had been working out and when I got home I ask where my car was. She said it got stolen, I was laughing my butt off, no really where's my car it was stolen. Then I sat there for a minute and realized she wasn't BS'ing me. My laughter turned to sad and pissed really quick. We lived in Cypress in the Houston area, they found the car about a week later striped and burned in Pasadena.

I had my tacoma stolen out of my driveway a couple of years ago. 2 weeks and 10k miles later police found it parked at a church in San Antonio with the doors locked. I had to pay 300$ to get it out of the impound yard. I felt like I got ripped off all over again. When I went to pay the lady she said "you might want to go look at it before you pay because usually they are stripped and burned" when I saw it it looked just like when they stole it, no damage whatsoever. I drove it 130 miles back to the ranch. After looking it over it had 10k more miles and someone had even added oil as they left oily fingerprints on the valve cover and oil fill cap. The only thing missing was my cds

Yes, in 1986. I was living in Beaumont at the time. Had a work truck stolen loaded with tools, oxy/acetylene torch, A/C parts, 100 pounds of copper tubing, ladders. Found it a week later in Houston with everything still on it.
Had another truck that was broken into and the driver side seat stolen out of it.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

My Saturn SL2 had been broken into about a month prior…all they got was about ten CDs.
I had the odd feeling my vehicle was being targeted; and I was leaving town for a week, so I purposefully left town with half a gallon of gas in it.
Sure enough; when I got back into town, I had a message on my answering machine from the police department that they had found my vehicle abandoned on central expressway. All they got this time was my ski rack from the roof of my car.

Yes, from in front of my apartment, 1985. Found out by a call from the police who had found it, I was still asleep when the call came in. The officer told me on the phone that it wasn’t damaged too bad. When I went to the impound lot to look at it, it was stripped of almost everything that could come off of it.

Yes, had one stolen while eating at restaurant row (Walnut Hill at I 35) one evening and was found near Fish Trap lake in west Dallas 2 days later. Insurance covered repairs on the driver's window and steering column and covered loss of contents. We traded it soon afterwards. This was early 90's

My son also had one stolen, he was at a friends house watching football, after the game he went out and started his car but remembered he left his wallet inside. Got it and as he was walking out he saw his car driving away lol. Two 18 year old girls made it about a mile down the road and crashed head on into a corner post.
