I've done the stretch at a put in about five miles from the Rayburn Dam (911 stuff, so they weren't letting people close to the dam) on the Angelina and then on the Neches to Dam B. There's a cutoff slough off the Neches that will take you to Martin Dies for a take out there. It was marked by a leaning tree with paint on it years ago. Watch for alligators. There's some big ones there. There's also some primitive Corp of Engineer campsites along the way. https://www.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/townbluff/Recreation/Camping

I have done the Brazos below PK at least 10x
Buffalo River 5x

All in a canoe. Only 1 bad experience was when we were met with flash flooding on the Buffalo. Hard to predict the Buffalo as it is an undammed river so you just have to watch rain totals upriver from you.

I do not ever see much here in the form of camping adventures. Every once in a while you come across something in the kayak section for a trip on the Devil's.
