I have a question for you guys who are fishing fans like I am. How long would you wait or what would you say if you'd been getting the runaround on $2,200.00 Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Fishing trip before putting the angler on blast or taking legal action?

Id wait about two weeks to a month. Then I’d be chirping!
….but at this point, I’d probably blast him and tell him to shove his fishing trip up his [censored]. But….thats me.

I mean, you pretty much just did. What was the time frame given in the auction?
But my real answer…I wouldn’t give anything to the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, it’s almost ridiculous just thinking that there is a bass fishing hall of fame to begin with.

Not sure what the proper action is here, but I think we should all start throwing out guesses...

I would start with contacting one of the board members at the HOF and going from there.

There was no time frame but It's been over a year. For reference. I also won a fishing trip with Mark Davis and one with Tommy Biffle. They were truly professional and punctual about scheduling, contacting and the trips were memorable lifetime moments. I also won jerseys from Takahiro, Skeet and Ray Hanselman ...very punctual but Jason Williamson also skrewed me over.

I’ve often wondered if these guys get pressured into donating, I just figured they’d suck it up and actually do what they were supposed to do. As much as you have spent with the BFHOF, you should definitely contact someone, you have been very giving to their organization.

If there was only one ticket to purchase in the lottery and I bought It I still would not win.

Well i can say that if it were me I would have kindly reached out, and if there wasn't a valid response or good communication. I would ask for my money back, because as of now your prob going to get a trip that is going to be uncomfortable. A year is too long IMO, good luck.
Wear a gopro and troll the $hit out of him, might be humorous.

The Bass Fishing Hall of Fame kindly reached out to me and are reimbursing the trip and the jersey cost I never received. I'm grateful even though I felt it shouldn't have been them taking the financial hit. The history that is being written in our sport we love so much is important and they do a great job showcasing it for the public. Some don't have the integrity needed to be a part of it.

Maybe you can do a report on BBB? Idk if it’s considered a business tho BBB has no power to do anything other than sending an email... Did you happen to put this donation on your credit card? Or this auction bid or whatever it was? If so you could contact your bank about a chargeback for services not received. It's been a long time since the charge but since the expected date was so far out, if ever established at all, you can still issue a chargeback on something that old. That has a lot more teeth than the BBB lol

Sir, you are way over thinking all this. They didn’t take a hit, all of that stuff was donated to begin with. You have done plenty to support them, way more than I ever will.

I'm glad it was resolved. I know at least 1 board member who occasionally posts here.
I always look forward to the HOF auction. A lot of cool items are donated.

Hes solicited trips a lot in the past year. They weren't donated though they were the 2,000 dollar ones

I'm definitely not saying what happened was even close to ok, but I'd like to hear Kyle's side of the story. What are they told when they donate these trips, and are they kinda forced into doing this? If I was the guy that purchased this I would be livid. Glad he got his money back, but I'm sure he would've rather had the trip.
