I also don't think under the present regime Dallas has the locker room to develop a young qb so there is that. I think there is a lack of character and leadership from the players The inmates are running the asylum.

I think Jerry will use this season as a learning moment, and at year end he will sit back and reflect on his choices and where things went wrong. Next year, after some soul searching, they will go all in.... 😂 😂 😂 Jerry set this trash in motion back in the off season, hmmm, naw, really almost 30 years ago.....they're becoming the "Notre Dame of the NFL"... There's a "lack of character and leadership" at the top sitting in the box... "trickle down dumpster fire"... And Jerry is well beyond delusional....

I think there is a lack of character and leadership from the players No, it doesn't do you any good to draft someone now. They don't have a chance to succeed. But by the time you put enough talent around him to give him a chance, you'll be winning too many games to have an early pick. Yep, may as well let Dak play out his contract. Maybe Archie Manning will develop into someone to draft by that time.

Maybe Archie Manning will develop into someone to draft by that time. That's kind of the reality. Use the pics to put stuff around him, deal with issues on lines and find a running back or 3. He can get you some winning seasons but that's about it. Then no matter what don't sign him again.

This team is not great at drafting DT, RB and WRs. If we're being honest Zeke and Lamb kinda fell in their laps. Pollard was a decet pick if I am being open minded but they have whiffed a lot. They seem to way over-value the guys they pick and stick with them too long when they don't develop.
You can almost argue that they are not good at picking QBs either since Aikman. I think Romo was a FA and Dak was a what the heck type pick in the 4th. I don't think they had any thoughts that he would be way better than a 4th round in regards to his play.

They are t the worst team in the entire NFL? How is that possible? Jerry Jones I know that was sarcasm but here's your answer. The Cowboys are the first team in NFL history to trail by 20 points or more in six straight home games. They are as bad as they appear to be. The rationalizations and denials need to go away. Dak was there for five of those games, wasn't he?

It all starts with Jerry followed by Stephen and then Will McClay, they pretty much make the draft picks, of course they rely on their Scots as well, then comes McCarthy, pretty hard to judge him when everyone in the world feels like Jerry is the worst GM in the world and does not know how to pick talent, I don't care who the coach would have been for this years team, given the same circumstances the results would have been similar. I am really happy that this has happened, the only other better scenario is if they would have won 10 - 12 games and made the play offs with at least a chance to do something, now they have no choice but to rebuild, I am not so sure that this was not the plan all along, all coaches on 1 year deals, no free agent signings, etc. I am pulling for no more wins and hopefully a top 5 draft pick, a new young fiery head coach, Jerry stepping back even more that what he has already, they have to change the culture completely or they just going to get more of the same, off season should be interesting.

When exactly did Jerry "step back?" The only thing he's done is hire McClay (which IS when they're drafting improved... dramatically... review both the results and the timing) and he turned Stephen loose to handle the cap. Other than that when did he "step back?". The only thing those 2 changes did was give him more time to stick his butt ugly mug in front of more television cameras....mouthing more inane idiocy...in turn usurping his coach/coaching staff and in turn causing even more problems for the organization as a whole. My bet is this.... - He hires Belichek.... - Uses 100 mil in salary cap (Mike Fischer explains it perfectly... research). - Belichek attempts to work with em... - Belichek is successful to a point.... - Belichek resigns at the end of the 3rd season out of frustration due to dealing with the football wizard and mini-wizard. .. Johnson did.... Parcells did.... Look, IMOP, Jerry ain't "stepping back" until they plant him in the ground....

10-7 and finish as a wild card team? If the rest of the league gets on meth. Maybe….. +100000 odds. Get ya some for $1000. You would win a million.

Yes, giving Jerry more free time to talk with "his" players and the media is not great. Stephen is worse than Jerry at managing contracts. Lightning in the bottle plus three or four miracles are needed.
They were blessed with the Dan Snyder fiasco in Washington for fifteen years and squandered it....so they've had good fortune on their side, but need much more.
