Whew, as we slide into late fall the fishing is absolutely wild. Lots of fish being caught on structure in 18-25’ mainly using 1/16 jigs plastics seem to be better overall rather than hair jigs. I’ll be fishing 3 lakes this late fall and into winter and if it’s anything like the last few years expect some really nice fish (2-2.75 pounds and a 3 pound crappie could happen). These lakes aren’t talked about much if any at all which makes for some really good fishing with little to no pressure. I was out of my sweat shirt by 10 am a week ago at Fork and the trees around my place have plenty of green leaves on them.

It didn’t get cold till this week, 50’s in the mornings and 70’s by noon last couple weeks
