Chihuahua! Both front tires on my tractor went flat. Had to call and get the guy that works for the mechanic we've used for decades to come out. He took them both off and fixed them, came back this morning, price was $550.00!!!! I could have gotten them off, but don't have jack stands that will hold the front of the tractor up while the tires are getting fixed. Plus, my back won't handle the bending and kneeling it takes to get the tires off. I blame Biden and his stupid economic policies for the inflated costs I'm paying everywhere. Everybody is struggling. That is all.

Thing about it even if inflation is under control I don't see the price of things like this ever going down . JMO

Sorry, you own a tractor so must not be too poor. $550 seems a little high but it involves at least two trips to your place including gas and his time. Plus add he had to leave his jack stands there while he had the tires fixed. If he doesn't make money he wouldn't be in business then who would come do it for you?

"Boy the way Glenn Miller played

Guys like us we had it made,
Those were the days.

And you knew who you were then,
Girls were girls and men were men,
Mister we could use a man
Like Donald Trump again.

Didn't need no welfare state,
Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee our old LaSalle ran great.

He should have had everything on his truck to fix the flats.

The OP said it's a guy that works for a mechanic he's used in the past. He doesn't say he's a mobile mechanic.

Getting my truck painted as I type this. Had a customer back into the rear drivers door last week. Decided I should put new tires on it tomorrow too. So, I called our tire suppliers. My cost on 4 35x12.50r20 MT tires was like holy hell!

$400 a tire.

$1600 plus valve stems.

FJB!!!

I thought this was about tire pressure when I read the thread title.

I suppose since they were both flat it technically would be about inflation. Didn't have any. roflmao

You are stating the obvious ref. inflation. That tractor is probably 20 years old. Only 60 horse power. Back when I was feeding deer leases I wasn't poor. But, between Obama and Biden, inflation has put a major dent in the monthly, left over, money available.

My tire guy called me one day. Said he had a customer buy a set of 33in Terra Grapplers and his wife didn't like them. I get them for $800 with less than 200 miles on them. Felt like I had won the lottery.
