just got my pontoon today, 20' Benley with a 4 stroke EFI 90, man that thing is quiet. Going to go out to Ray Hubbard tomorrow and try to find some Sandbass and Hybrids while trying out my new toon. If ya see me, say hello (Blue & white in color). No trolling motor of graph yet. Will have to get them during the week, but will try the usual spots. Pontoons ride really smooth in rough water, that's why i got mine. My 20' Stratos got a little rough in large waves, and this way we can all go out on the lake and don't worry about "please slow down", which means idle back to the boat ramp.

Harvey I'll see you out there too, probably near RC or Terry Park, right? Congrats on the boat. May you have many happy days and caught fish!
We'll have a little bit of wind tomorrow to make the heat more tolerable and maybe the fishing a little better too.

I saw one on Hubbard the other day and it had a 250 on it. It was in a slip at harbor bay.
A fish a day keeps the doctor away.

Keith and I saw the COOLEST pontoon boat on Bridgeport last month--it grabbed our attention because I was going about 30mph and it was flying past me! It looks like a traditional pontoon but has what looks like a fiberglass tunnel hull. I talked to the owner at the ramp and he and his wife loved it--I wished I could remember the brand--it had a 90 hp yammy on it and he said he was thinking of putting a 115 on it--cool! A pontoon that will do 45mph! If it's the one I think it is, it's made by Tracker, maybe Deckboat or something like that. There is one down the street from me. Looks cook, but never seen one on the water

I have a 24' Party Barge with a 115 Evinrude. It tops out at about 30 MPH. It takes a football field to turn it around at speed. It is a great boat for the family. Lots of room. It does catch the wind with the biminis up. Handles fine in choppy water. Not much fun to put on the trailer on a windy day and unprotected ramp.

I saw one on Hubbard the other day and it had a 250 on it. It was in a slip at harbor bay. This may be the same one that passed me like I was standing still. I was cruising around 40 mph and it blew by me. I have never seen a pontoon go that fast.

went out today and absolutly love my 'toon. lots of room, shade with the bimini top, and it actually ran up to 28 mph. The motor is so damn quite, I almost started it twice while the motor was already running. I have to check the tach to see if it is on. UNREAL!!!! I am so glad I went with the 4-stroke. Fishing was tough today. Got on the lake about 7:30, got off the lake about 5:00 pm, picked a friend up at Bass Pro about 9:30. Went to the Barn, 3 sandies, to RC 2 sandies, Iron Horse 4 sandies, East bridge 0, West bridge about 35 sandies and 2 16-18" hybrids. It was real tough fishing my normal spots since I had no graph, no depth finder, and no trolling motor. Did I mention it was hot. It was hotter than 2 rats screwing in a wool sock! Glad to be back home in the A/C.
