Looks like Collin County ponds are favored. 5000+ in little Frisco pond but only 1500 in much larger Royce City pond? I wonder if Collin County is subsidizing trout stockings. Rowlett did it 1 year and paid for some larger ones.

They're releasing in Mckinney on Sunday. I'm off work Monday so I've got no excuse! My trout trip earlier in the season got cancelled so I gotta make up for it!

Hint -- if they say they are releasing on Sunday, they are really releasing on Friday. I heard it from someone in the know.

McKinney has n the past will have it blocked so no access to trout water with city people watching to prevent early fishing

Just went by towne Lake the little cove on the north side of the bridge is pretty much frozen

They will be stocked usually on Friday. The reason for the Sunday date being posted is that there maybe a kids contest or some other type of event on Saturday. I would call the park office and they will give you the answer. If you do go on Sunday, you should still easily catch some fish.

Power Bait
under a bobber, or floating above a small weight ?

Use either the Orange or Yellow-Salmon flavored, power bait. Do not use a bobber. Fish off the bottom with a small weight about 6 inches above the bait. Also make sure your hooks are very small ones. Usually size 14 to 18. I use the small micro treble hooks.

I fish Heritage Park in Mt. Pleasant . There's a large fountain near the bridge and I'll get 'em by running a small inline through it .

Fished the Guadalupe River by the Lazy L & L. Parks and Wildlife stocked the river that flows through their campgrounds. There is a day fee you have to pay. Caught a bunch on the flyrod and all the fish had good size. Fish were released. As far as the Canyon Trail Race goes the fish have moved further down stream well into the trophy zone. Friend of mine who fished the Huaco Springs this past week said the fished have moved further down stream as well and off of the Huaco Springs property. Will be using the kayak a lot the next few weeks.

Got my limit plus today.

And what’s up with the orange one? A special million dollar fish or some kind of mutant? I caught two in a row today.

The Orange/Yellow colored Rainbow Trout is a results of mutation in the trout's DNA. They are sometimes called Palomino or Banana Trout. They are pretty common in stocked trout.
