Fishing was slow this past Monday at Hyco Springs, New Braunfels. Fish were hard to find. Me and a friend of mine fished from 7:30am till 9:30am Yellow and Orange Power Bait got the best results. Fish were staging in the rapids.

Hyco Springs Limit. Truck arrived today. Fished for three hours and finally limited out. Fish would not touch my Gold Super Duper. Switched to Orange Power Bait and caught five hanging by rocks just up from the rapids. Met two of my friends there and they also limited out. One of them limited on his flyrod. All in all it was a great day!

Canyon Trail Race was stocked Friday. Plenty of trout there from past stockings as well. Blanco River was slow. Also stopped by Earl Scott Pond this past week and easily limited out. Limited with both the flyrod and spinning rod. Gold Super Duper Lure and Earl Scott Pond and a Sinking Red/Orange Lady Bug fly at the trail race .

Palmetto State Park!


Fished today. Bite was good . Myself and my fishing buddy Steve easily limited out. Fellow TFF'er and friend Steve aka F4Gator along with his friend John arrived and picked up their limits as well. We released a bunch and kept our limits for the frying pan. Gold Super Duper Lures got great results.

Live Oak, stocking today! Bull Frog and Kingfisher Lake later this week!

Fished Earl Scott Pond, San Antonio, Hyco Springs, New Braunfels, and Onion Creek, Austin. Limited out at all locations. Fish have moved down stream at Hyco Springs. Fish have also moved down stream from the falls on Onion Creek. Fish on Onion Creek and Hyco Springs are very good quality and size compared to the smaller water bodies. Also the Canyon Trail Race is holding some good size fish. Fish have moved a little down stream but you can still get some just down from the Canyon Dam , fishing the rapids. Fished with the Flyrod and was using a Yellow and Red sinking Lady Bug Fly. Stocking season will be coming to a close early March. Catch em while you can.

Wife and myself took a trip to Palmetto State Park two days after the stocking. We limited out in 2 hours. It was enjoyable watching her fish and reeling them in. There were six other anglers there and most were catching fish also. Orange and Salmon Colored Power Bait got the best results.

Also fished Live Oak the day after the stocking. Got there at daybreak and limited out in a hour. Orange Power Bait was used.

Easily Limited out on the stocking day at Shirley McDonald Park in Round Rock. Met some nice people and anglers there. Fish were very active. Gold Super Duper got very good results. Caught over 15 fish and kept five for the dinner table. Friend of mine who went with me also caught a bunch and limited out. He was also using a Gold Super Duper.

Coming down the HOME STRETCH! Get em while you can! Still some stocking left all across TEXAS!

Trout bite was slow at the Canyon Trail Race. Managed a limit in 4 hours of fishing. All caught on the fly. Fish were holding in back water behind larger rocks. Heard from the other anglers that there were a lot of trout between 4th and 2ad crossing. Trophy Zone rules in affect there, I think. Red and Orange Lady Bird flies got the good results.

Only two more stockings at the Canyon Trail Race. 2/21 and 3/2. Southside Lions and Miller Park both in San Antonio last stocking 2/21.

Picked up four nice trout fishing Lockhart State Park Monday. Get them while they last.
