Weatherman says 47° tonight. Went ahead and brought my golden pathos and Christmas cactus inside. First time using my plant stand.

That’s awesome! I’m growing pothos in my aquarium filter next to my hydroponic tomato experiment.

About to get the first flowers to bloom... hopefully. The first flower cluster has started to form.

You know those blurple lights suck. You need COBs. I suggest 4 engines to start. Expendable to whatever. 12 of the 48 or 58 will grow quite the amount.

Outside of saying my lights suck I don't understand anything else you just said.

What's an engine in this context and what are those numbers?

I'm just experimenting and having fun right now. All my lights are inexpensive so yeah I'm sure they suck. My focus isn't on the plants right now, it's on the koi pond build out back. Wasn't even sure this tomato plant would get passed the seedling stage so all this is bonus.

Modern horticulture that's performed inside. The best grow lights on the market.

Look at the Citizen branded, chips on a board (COB). You'll notice, "CLU048" and "CLU058". It refers to their size and driver requirements.

An, "Engine" is an individual COB and it's heat sink as one assembly.

You'll also notice a light wave color range. 3000k will work for both veg and flower. Ranges of 2800k- 3500k can be used depending on plant.

You ever do any hydro/aqua-ponics?

Hydroponics is like a needy child that's expensive and super easy to jack up.

Coco coir and perlite in a fabric pot is the best of all worlds. It's PH stable and performs as good or if not better then straight hydro. It can be reused too. Less things to go wrong and less expensive.

Right now I'm optimizing for fun, not necessarily for production.

It's more like a growing healthy plant. Production is a side effect of a happy plant. The objective is to grow a plant in a near perfect environment. Getting as close as you can to a perfect plant.

Extremely fun hobby.
