Some friends and I got drawn for a Nilgai hunt the later part of February and will be in the area. I was wondering if the fishing is any good on the pier at Fred Stone park or anyone has a wade fishing spot they can recommend.

I haven't tried it myself, but I've been told that wading the shoreline from either end of the city can be productive. I certainly catch a lot of fish from around the spoil islands.

You could rent a house with a long pier going out in the bay. The fishing is good in the day and can be fantastic at night.

Abe, Everything will depend on the wind velocity. If it's really pumping out of the SE like it can, there's nothing on the bayfront that won't be really muddy. There's some spots in the harbor with lights that you can catch some trout on though.
If it's calm though, and the water is decent it's game on on the lights for sure.
Did you all cook up those trout fillets?
