I read as of 11-1-24, all ramps will be closed until the lake rises. hung

I've seen quite a few guys launching right from the shore. Takes giants huevos to launch a 21' bass boat like that and not sure I have the guts for it. Time to take the yak back out.

Where are people launching from the bank? Pretty much last resort but that’s been happening at falcon for a long time.

It's going to be like fishing ice out up north if we can ever get a gully washer on the guadalupe. No pressure for an extended period of time, with the current habitat set up? My goodness, I'll be skipping work for a month... if it ever rains again.

That said, I'm pretty bummmed. It was nice having a lake within 20 minutes of the house.

The scary thing is, how many cities are relying on this lake for their water supply. They have greatly overestimated it’s ability to recharge.

Rocky and in some spots just enough slope to make a natural ramp. Watched multiple guys do it, they are literally in someones back yard. They drive along the side of the house and back down.

The lake front property owners don’t own the land touching the lake. I can imagine people will be getting tickets for bank launching. Any COE park and county parks will have the gates locked, only a few parks (a few aren’t gated) will be open for kayaks. This won’t be like Falcon where you can bank launch and Choke will be the exact same situation, they said zero launching of the banks. Awesome times!

Gaylan (Indio) at Beacon Lodge down at falcon (back in the day) used to have metal butterfly ramps. Not sure why Canyon can't buck up and pay for a couple. At the rate they charge for entry, would be paid off in a month.
