9/7/2024: Friends David and Josh went out with me from 8:45 AM to 1 PM, and we caught 88:82 white bass, 3 cats, and 3 yellow bass. There was a brisk NE wind, so we stayed mostly on the east shoreline. We found fish at Pole Dance Point, a point just north of that, Kevin's Point, and a point just east of it. We ventured over to Merimac and caught a few, but it was too rough, so we went back to the east side. All fish were in 8 to 15 fow. Best lures were small yellow or chartreuse BoBlades worked along the bottom like a Mepps spinner.

9/9/2024: Took church friend Mike out and we caught 70: 62 whites, 2 hybrids (20 and 21 inches), 5 yellow bass, and 2 cats. We found fish at Drew's Humps and Key Ranch Drop-off in 10 to 15 fow. Fish were very finnicky. They wouldn't hit the small BoBade like the day before. Mike had a #4 Mepps on one line and started with it, and he caught fish. So, I put on a #4 and started catching as well. I also caught a few on Mepps #2. We fished from 10:45 AM til 12:45 PM. Beautiful day to be out in God's creation!

Also on 9/19/2024: I went out with Airborne82 (Ron) for a few hours. We caught 50 before we came back in because it was getting a bit warm. The catch was a variety pack. Included in the catch were sand bass, short hybrids, yellow bass and cats. I had one black bass that got off just before getting to the boat. We fished tennis court, spillway hump and merimac. The best depth was 12' - 16' and all fish were caught using MAL original. One final observation was that some of the sand bass were absolute studs as compared to the last time I was out.

No recent pics, but I will take some and show them on a rule so you can see the size. The biggest here at CC are typically 15 to 16 inches.

09/29/24. Fished from 7:00 this morning till 11:00 and caught around 30 or so. Best places were the tennis courts and game warden hump. Fish were moving quite a bit at all the spots we stopped. We would catch a handful pretty quick, then nothing. Tried spillway point and only caught 1, looked at spillway hump, but did not stop, and ended at sunken island, where we only caught 1. I was using a #4 Mepps, and my friend was using a 3/4 oz. BoBlade, chartreuse in color. Both were producing about the same. All fish with the exception of a few were real nice sand bass. Most fish were caught in 10 to 18 ft. casting and reeling back vertically along the bottom.
