We (Whisker Seeker) purchased Mr Whiskers Punch Bait last spring. Just wanted to share this video our production team put together at that time.

I was looking at this stuff online a week or two ago. I currently use Danny King's but felt the price for your product is quite reasonable. I've been meaning to grab some and give it a try. When I do, I'll let you know how I like it.

I was thinking the same thing. I have been filling the live wells Using DK but i like the affordable price even though the shipping cost kinda evens them out on the cost. I will still be ordering some to try out.

I ordered some of Mr. Whisker in both flavors. I do hope it does the job as good or better than what i am currently using.

Gonna start trying to find those bigger fish. We are hosting a catfish tournament in November on Amistad so i got to be dialed in. Please check it out on the tournament thread.

Mr Whiskers (Tom Whitlock) started out in Del Rio fishing on Amistad. He moved to Granbury along with his old friend Gene Newsome a while back as in over 30 years ago. Tom is probably the best catfish guide I've ever been around. Just saw him on the water yesterday on Squaw Creek where he put 4 men on a 4 man limit in just 4 hours. He's got to be near 85 years old and he's still working his tail off. His bait is the best bang for the buck. It's half the price of most competitors and it simply works. Only thing is if it's real hot you sometimes have to add cotton to it, to keep it on a trebble hook. Or if its real hot keep chilled on ice that works as well. Best way to thicken it up is with cat tails. Bust up one of those cattail heads and add to it.

That’s pretty awesome to know that it all started here on Amistad. I have seen some guys catch some yellows in the 50-60lbs range, so i am pretty sure there has to be some huge blues swimming around.i mean it has three rivers feeding it. I have seen the lake hit depths of over 180 feet in some parts and some folks have mentioned depths around 230feet in some places. I dont remember there ever being a catfish tournament in the 25 years i have lived in Del Rio, but i could be wrong. I do hope some records are broken at the tournament. We used to do a yearly bass tournament but we haven’t had it in some time, so we decided to change things up. We will be having a bug fish fry just afterwards free to those who participate. So if you find yourself in the area and want to test your skills and help out a small nonprofit come on out and enjoy.
👍🏾Might be able to find some cattails along the San Felipe creek and just keep them stored. I have tried tissue and it works ok but i get frustrated and leave big pieces in there.

Cat tails is the best there is to thicken the punch bait, but in a pinch you can also use dryer lint. What I usually do is have another container of fresh punch bait and stop using the runny one until I have room in the fresh bait container and then add the old runny bait to the new one, but that is usually a last resort if I can't thicken it up......It would be a sin to discard the bait once it got down near the bottom and was runny.
