Wind is your friend on Texoma this time of year. Yes it can get rough but fish wind blown 2ndary points and pockets with wind blowing into them.

Is it time for the smallmouth to get hot on that lake? I've never caught one and yes a Texoma smally is on my bucket list.

The smallmouth will eat year round. You have to find them.

They are not hard to find. Find rocks with shad or minnows around and you find smallies on Texoma. Dont go into the backs of the coves or creeks thats largemouth country. The smallies do not go back in there.

Well it sucked for me! Wish I would have listened to CCTX and stayed home. Fished 3 days caught a drum,4# catfish on wacky rig thought I had it going on for a Minuit! 8 dinks all about 8 inches not sure what that’s about never caught a keeper.Fished solo and did not fish Sunday. Won’t be back fished little mineral,Damn area and above cat fish bay.

You did well to catch 8 dinks.
Only things they’ve been biting on are small worms either weightless or light weight.
Just a brutal beating.

We sucked, 4 days of fishing and caught 2 smallmouths, 1 poor looking largemouth and a perch! My partner, also wifey did win a pair of boots Friday night, so I wasn’t a total bust.
