Meeting my parents for lunch Saturday to celebrate a couple birthdays. Any ideas on best place to eat? My only experience there is Bluebonnet Cafe which was a good breakfast, but we will be there for lunch.

Right across the street on the backside of bluebonnet is Bear Creek brewery or something like that. Really good food

Lived there 20 years. Bluebonnet is great to take tourists, and the pie is good. River city grill is top notch, it's next to a mediocre chili's. The real New Orleans is good, bunch of transplants after Katrina. Bella Sera if you're feeling Italian, the pizza is outstanding, actually everything is. Super taco makes the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. Bring cash. Everything else is ok, but those four won't disappoint.

I was looking at River City Grill! We are not big on strictly sea food restaurants.

Yes, River City Grill for the win! The owner is Paul Brady, Texas native, he and I worked for Chili’s back in the early 90’s! Great guy! Paul is also a professional hunting bird dog enthusiast!
