Well... Let's hope American manufacturing can pick up some slack... Made in America... President Trump should have a field day if this last more than a week or two... Dan

I don't understand why a private company, after the contract is over with the Union, doesn't just hire non-union workers and move on.

It's official: 45,000 port workers are now on strike, from Maine to Texas.

I don't understand why a private company, after the contract is over with the Union, doesn't just hire non-union workers and move on. Well they could- but the union would be super aggressive- block entrances, black ball their neighbors, etc. then a year from now the new group would unionize and we’d be back to square one. It’s why you need leadership and clearly we have none. The Biden admin is strategizing how to spin this in to a political win for them- what do they say about “never let a crisis go to waste”….

I don't get that either. Pretty simple let them know only Non Union workers will work at said Port. Unionize you get fired. As far as blocking entry that can be solved fairly easy as well.

Unless it has changed, they can not legally stop employees from unionizing.

Hmmmmmm, why do I think of the Soviet Union, China, and Cuba when I see "workers" and "unions" and all the other clap trap propaganda being put out by the Leftists? Could there be some history there, or maybe a link to the Democrat Party with only about 4 weeks left before a nation wide election?

Perfect example why there should be no early voting... Dan Curious as to why..? I voting early in case there is some sort of "issue" that happens on the official day of voting. If so, at least my vote will be in.
