Went back to Lakeview this morning - this is physical therapy, I am recovering from ACDF surgery C5-7 fusion from Aug 12th. Spent 6 weeks in a neck brace, not fun (now on week 7.5). Bite started about 7a and ran till about 7:40, still a buncha bait but not many sand bass (only caught 2 keepers [12-14in, all CNR])- bigger largemouth hanging out though.

Nice report Hard Rain, and be really careful on those slippery rocks. It is not surprising seeing good bass on small baits, that ramp has some good structure. Good seeing your reports. Didn't fish last two days, will get out Sunday early for sure. That is a good piece of info for the green fish hunters, fish are shallow early. Take care all..
Back out at Lakeview again this morning, shad and ghost minnows everywhere. About 7:10 fish started biting, done by 7:45 - or moved too far from the bank to get to. Did notice some big bass crashing bait around rocks in about 4-6 inches of water, looked like 1-2" shad they were eating - and I didnt have any topwater on me.... About 7:25 small schools of sandbass would pop up and go right back down, got a few good ones but it wasn't gangbusters. Biggest bass was maybe a 1 lb'er. Caught fish and had fun is all that matters.
Fished Dove Loop this morning, minimal bait along the shore and minimal fish. No sandies, and only a handful of micro bass. Fished between 7-8a using topwater and various swimbaits.
Fished last two days 2am-@2pm. Green fish is absolutely amazing, south coves are turning but north main lake points are holding bass. Never had a chance to look for the whites, but I saw guide boats around the east side of the island. Crappie are sitting in 20 ft on ledges on small groups. The small ones are in the brush, and the small ones are easy pickings. Caught a bunch of donkey Bass & crappie in the last few days. Night bite is much better than daytime bite, from now to March it's big bass time. If I go out wed, I will look for the Sandbass. If you want to catch grande crappie look for the ledges near the main lake points. The really big crappie are in groups of 4-5 fish and if you hit them on the head they thump the jig. Gob Bless & will hopefully have some info soon.
I'll be out there on Friday and will be going for whatever. I figure we will try for Whites at some point. My friend is a catfish fan so if we find those that is good too.
If we throw a few for the green fish I am partial to weightless small slug-go - caught more of my bass on this lure. If anyone has a suggestion, don't know a lot about bass
will be out at daylight and going home a little after lunch
I will definitely be there Wednesday morning to chase sandies. I hope to be able to report back for the guys and gals helping out with the CAST for kids event this Saturday.
