Yep my favorite lake. At a tournament there watched a lady pull a plus ten out with a cane pole on a small dock. Lots of big fish there.
Brings back a lot of good times there

Went back to Murvaul a couple of days ago.. when the fishing gets tough, thats where I usually go. Been exploring further back up in the creeks as the holes in 4 plus feet of water is where I have been catching a few on spinner bait.

That sure looks like an enjoyable place to fish!

Went back yesterday, 9/22 with a friend who had purchased a kayak and has become obsessed with fishing from it..


On the water early for me… before 10 am.

hit the same places as last time.. but in reverse order that I normally fish them as they are about 3 miles apart.

#3 a few casts later.. by now he had as much confidence in 5 inch swimbaits as I do.


Took a while but he finally caught his first bass on an artificial..










I don’t think color mattered much as I got bit on three different colors… my bud landed three and lost several more including what looked like a good one that hit right next to him in thick cover.. it was a fun day. I don’t know why folks don’t throw these more often.. I landed 12 and lost just as many… all but 1 was over 14 inches, most between 17 and 20.. never got bit on spinner bait or worn. I think it all in your head.
