They do get the NYG on the road next week.

Thursday night football, somebody will win, but I doubt it will be due to good play.

Like Tom Brady said, defending the run is a team deal, one player cannot stop it but one player can rush the QB.

So true

Yep, and they ran away from where Parsons was

Parsons was all over the field making plays as a rookie, primarily playing LB. Have you seen a lot of that since he went almost exclusively to DE??

Btw, here's his stats.... take notice.

Not impressive at all, I think they should cut him.

Hehehe..... You're either missing the point (and I don't think you are) OR you're dodging addressing it.... which is it??

Parsons had ONE less sack and +/- 33% MORE tackles (both solo and assist) in 1 LESS game playing LB (and lighting up the league with high praise... "next Lawrence Taylor," etc etc)....while also keeping his mouth shut and playing his position.

Now he's moping on the sidelines, calling out teammates on social media, etc. He's currently on pace to have +/- 34 TOTAL tackles (+/- 6 sacks), both solo and assisted, for this season.

So, NOW, instead of some lame BS address my original point....

Pretty standard attitude for anyone wearing the number 88 on the Cowboy's team.

Whatever slack I cut Jerry prior to that statement (admittedly NOT much) has now evaporated into the ether.

They CAN turn this mess around, maybe, but, IMOP the coaches have to turn loose the talent they have to let it all go on the field.... and Dak has to let the ball fly when it's appropriate. To do that he's got to trust those young kids to battle for it and catch the SOB.... and they did a VERY nice job yesterday. THEY are the ONLY reason they made it a close game. The stats prove it and my eyeballs saw it.

Meanwhile, the "superstars" moped, b#tched, cut off routes, dropped passes and ran around chasing a running back Jerry was too cheap to sign (and yes, he and Stephen BOTH know they could have signed him) as it "didn't fit into the budget."

Yeah the Zimmer defense hasn't been good for points or Parsons or the team.

Doesn't help that Armstrong, Hankins, and Gilmore are all gone and they only have one decent LB.

Parsons was much more effective with DQ moving him around, and other threats on the field rather than just him.

I am not a coach, GM or anything close. However I do wonder if the circus like atmosphere around the team really isn't the root cause of it all? It rarely seems like it's about football with this team. There seems to be little accountability or repercussions.

The offseason especially in dealing with contracts seems like it was a giant shat show. It seemed like one huge distraction for an extended period. I think it's just all contributing to the way the team plays. Take for instance the running game. It's anemic yet they keep trotting out Zeke and guys that have no ability to put fear in the opposing defense. Meanwhile Cook remains on the practice squad. If Cook is that bad that he doesn't get a chance to play then why keep him? It's an odd situation at best as to why Cook, a longtime veteran is not being given a chance.

What little I watched yesterday I saw Dak put the ball on the wrong shoulder of a wide open Zeke. It was a short pass most NFL QBs can make with their eyes closed, I saw a defense unable to stop the run at all. I saw same defense miss tackle after tackle. I saw their new rookie O lineman not only get blown up but the same lineman actually catapult the LB straight into Dak resulting in a sack.

Yet no one on the field seems worried, upset or bothered by any of it. Parsons is still crowinh about it being someone else's fault, CeeDee is screaming like a kid throwing a fit but completely ignoring his own huge mistake, #21 is out there jumping up and flexing/posing after he makes a tackle after a 8yd gain like he just did something spectacular while they are down 28-6 and McCarthty looks like he is waiting on the buffet line at CiCi's to open up. I'm not even sure who #21 is but he probably should look at the scoreboard before he celebrates. Why a veteran didn't walk over and shut him down I don't know.

This team does nothing but lives off the past.

100% correct IMOP....

Also, to address a statement above, Irvin wore #88 and he was a football warrior. He's got 3 rings to prove it plus the undying praise of JJ, Aikman, and Emmitt.... 3 HofFamer's.

Before the draft this year I suggested Dallas should explore trade options for Parsons. I also would not have given Dak a new contract, make him prove he is worth it. I would never have brought back washed up Zeke (besides Jerry who would ?). Last off-season was a great opportunity to begin a reset. But of course Jerruh knows everything. He said he couldn't afford Derrick Henry for 8 mil when in fact we all know he could.

On top of all that he only hires coaches he can control, guys out of football for a year or two like McCarthy and Zimmer. Dumpster fire. It wouldn't surprise me if the Giants beat Dallas this Thursday. A team that can't run the ball, can't stop the run and has middling to poor coaching isn't likely to go anywhere.
