I like the turkey meat. A favorite snack of mine is to take some turkey slices wrap it in a slice of cheese with some mustard. Kind of a mini sandwich sin pan.

Never thought about buying chicken deli meat. Is it a thing?

Whole chicken, legs, thighs... Sure. But never considered sliced chicken meat as a real contender or even as real.

No kidding!

My DIL is the GM of a food testing lab here in the DFW area. While most of the deaths and sickness have occured in states east of here, her lab has been swamped with product to test from their regular customers and even from many businesses that are not regulars. As the release from T Bird said, so far Boar's Head has recalled over 7 million pounds of product.

I eat a lot of chicken but no deli chicken. I get fried chicken tenders from Harts Chicken whenever I am in town. They make great chicken sandwiches and breakfast tacos.

Not one person on earth has ever said "I could sure go for a nice oven roasted chicken sandwich right now."

Turkey for life.

I only buy chicken that is bought from a scary looking dude driving a 29 passenger van in the Bass Pro Shop parking lot.

It must be the school lunch programs, Jimmy John’s, Schlotzsky’s of the world.

I don’t trust prepackaged deli meat. If god had intended meat to be in a perfect circle; we would see perfectly spherical animals everywhere.
That, and you are paying for efficient preservatives and fancy packaging.

Makes more sense and is tastier to grill up well seasoned chicken thighs, slice them up and zip lock to use them over the next six days or so.

You are aware that they have this place in store called Deli..... at this place you can pick from various meat and they slice it in front of you. You have turned into a food snob lately.

Like anything else, there's really good and then just ok.

Haha!! As with many nearly olds; after decades of trial and error, I have found what I like best….and usually go to the store at 6am opening when the butcher folks are busy getting things ramped up for the day.

In the last week you have hated on texas Roadhouse, Applebee's, chili's, Jimmy Johns, shlotzkys, and school lunch. Liking ham and cheese won't save you. Go suck on a 6 day old chicken thigh. And don't you come from a country whose only decent food product is clotted cream?
