Was wondering if the drain/shield wire has to be connected as it doesn't seem to work. I obviously did not connect that wire and don't remember if I did on my last boat for it to work. I have a brand new setup with HB Solix 15s and everything else works just fine.

No it dont have to be connected, and after the last software both my solix 16 wont detect the mega 360 but works when deployed
but my solix 12 always shows it connected

The installation instructions state to connect the drain wire to the chassis ground (aka outboard via the starting battery negative).
