Squaw Creek is opening on October 3, 2024. Their site says October 1, 2024, but since they only operate from Thursday to Sunday, Thursday October 3, 2024 will be the first day the lake is actually open. I need some more tilapia in the freezer. https://www.luminant.com/squaw-creek-park/

When you register are you getting a confirmation email I typically fish from the bank and have not tried to register a boat. However, I have heard they are booked with the maximum of 150 boats for several weeks.

Here are the two rules I find creepy: 1. No swimming or wading is allowed. This makes me wonder if there is a chance of radiation poisoning, or if you might emerge from the water with an extra set of arms or legs.
2. In the event of an evacuation follow instructions from law enforcement. I don't think my boat has enough horse power to escape a nuclear blast. If you see people running from the power plant you might as well just start praying.
I come from the water.
