It does get cold enough for it to gel. I’ve seen it happen. I always put anti gel in the tractor when I put it up for the winter because it’s probably still going to have summer blend fuel in it and I have needed it in the winter. I have seen it gel without an additive. I just used some stuff that comes in a white bottle at parts stores or Walmart.

At any time I have 100 pre owned diesel trucks at any given time. They will get, especially late model durmax trucks for some reason.

The next fill up. Put some in a mason jar. Tighten the lid and set it next the front tire when you get home. Anywhere you won't forget about it.

Actually see if the fuel gels.

I have had the rough running in the cold, but once the motor warmed up all was ok. Plenty of places in north and west Texas prolly get cold enough for a few days in the year to start seeing gelling
