No matter the rule changes the rules olds will still finish at the bottom of the pack and find something else to cry about

One of my points in the Golf vs Bass Fishing post. If BASS had any semblance of a plan, this would not be news. This rule should have been ironed out 15-20 years ago when GPS became available. How is this an issue today? It's almost impossible to mess it up so bad. BTW, this is all due to their mismanaging rule enforcement during competition.
Now FFS is kicking their rear. I hope they figure it out before 2050.

I think you are just seeing that BASS is run with no different of a team than Brandon Belt, TTT, TTO, CHAMPS etc. It's not some big prestigious company thats polished. Its a group of folks that are figuring it out.
Bass just offers an individual trail. Make it super hard to "get in" and you get to be called a "pro" then they make you pay your own entry fees that are much more expensive and they televise the events. They are gonna flip flop enough to where nobody even cares about it at all. You never know 5 years from now "pro fishing" may not even exist.
