I’ve got a 2024 Tracker Pro Team 190TX with a Mercury Pro XS 115. Recently, it got to where it will only go 28mph regardless of throttle applied and tilt position. When it reaches that speed, no amount of additional throttle has any effect. I replaced the primary fuel filter and checked to make sure nothing was wrapped around the prop. I’m hoping that whatever it is, it’s covered by warranty but rather than have it in the shop for a couple of weeks, I’d like to take care of it myself if it’s a minor issue. I’ve not ever taken it to max rpm (6300) on the motor. At 5000rpm, it was previously able to make 40mph on calm water. Now, 4500 rpm is only 28mph. It starts, runs, and idles smooth. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Primitive!
Check your propeller to see if you have a loose white plastic ring behind it. The part is called a prop bore sleeve and costs less than $10. It has weak tabs that will break off and cause loss of power/performance with an otherwise healthy engine. Hope this is it because it’s an easy fix. Good luck!

Sounds like you should bring it in for warranty work.
My bore sleeve is cracked (again) and I still hit 47-49mph on my 190TX/115.
