While I admit it’s not as fun as spotlighting deer in the old days, it’s a close 2nd.
Grab a black light, and some flip flops and go to work around the house.
It’s awesome

Will a bug-a-salt revolver put one down?

I doubt it. They seem to be a critter from hell. You really just need to smush them.

The long version will get them eventually but it takes multiple shots. Same as with wasps.

I have a black light flashlight and "hunt" scorpions on my back deck. I give them a shot of bug spray when I find them.

Black light and a propane torch!! They don’t like fire ! When I lived n Arizona my yard and house were full of them. After nightly patrols of the yard it really cut down on those devils.

Some fellas here in the neighborhood hunt copperheads on the creek at night with flashlights and .410s.

Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

We found one inside our front door here, first one I’ve ever seen. Never saw one in 26 years in Texas

Had one fall off the ceiling and land on a sleeping wife. I grabbed it as she woke up. She thought I was trying to murder her.

That thing(the pee colored scorpion) lit me up. I threw it back outside. They sting like a paper wasp but with a different tingle at the end.

The only thing worse than a porta potty in the wintertime is a porta potty in the summertime.

We had a well house growing up. Where the well and storage tank was kept.

Mom had a bunch of mason jars out there, without lids, in boxes

Scorpions would fall into the jars and couldn't get out. It was easy to find 5-6 crawling around. They were super common growing up. If you want to find them in the wild. Rock pile. Don't pick the rocks up. Roll them over with your foot. That's where you'll find them.

Just be glad he wasn't in position for a frontal attack.
